Clark received the M.Sc. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in aerospace engineering from the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands, in 2004 and 2009, respectively. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Human–Machine Systems with the Delft University of Technology and is the principal investigator of the Delft Ecological Design group within the Control and Simulation section. His work and research interests include developing human-centered aviation automation through the application and empirical evaluation of Cognitive Systems Engineering and Ecological Interface Design principles. His Ph.D. thesis, titled “Ecological Approach to Pilot Terrain Awareness“, was about the design and empirical evaluation of ecological flight deck interfaces to support pilot terrain awareness and collision avoidance.
