Demonstration of the H2 Optimal Control framework for fluid flows. The H2 controller is used to suppress stochastic disturbances in a channel flow. The first part of the movie shows the uncontrolled (open-loop) case, the second part demonstrates the H2 controller. The H2 controller was designed by applying SROM framework to the linearize Navier Stokes equations, after which Balanced Truncation was applied to obtain a low order control model.
