Dr Ir. Ivan Miletović

  • Motion cueing fidelity in rotorcraft flight simulation

Ivan received both his BSc. and MSc. degrees (cum laude) in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft in 2011 and 2014, respectively. He worked in the flight simulation industry at Rheinmetall Defence Electronics in Bremen, Germany before returning to TU Delft as a PhD. student at the section of Control & Simulation.

His project is organized in close cooperation with Desdemona B.V and focusses on the development of a framework for objective assessment of rotorcraft flight simulator motion fidelity. The project aims to leverage the knowledge that can be obtained from first-principles rotorcraft flight mechanics models coupled with contemporary motion cueing algorithms. His research interests include mathematical modelling and simulation of dynamic (aerospace) systems, manual vehicle control and simulator-based pilot training.
