Software

At Delft Human and Environment we use several simulations on the Control & Simulation laboratory facilities, SIMONA and the Human-Machine Interaction Laboratory. These simulations run on DUECA, an in-house developed middleware layer with some unique properties. DUECA offers precise timing and a transparent connection between the different computers making up the simulation. Through its focus and facilities for modular development DUECA promotes re-use, and with the extensive body of re-usable modules available, students can quickly assemble a project, augment it with their specific modules and have a high-quality simulation running.
