Andrew P. Sage Best Transaction Paper for cybernetics review paper!

We are extremely proud to have received the prestigious Andrew P. Sage Best Transaction Paper award for our review paper “Manual Control Cybernetics: State-of-the-art and Current Trends”, which was published in the Golden Jubilee Issue of IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems (vol. 48, no.5, pp. 468-485, 2018). The paper was a true team effort by our complete “cybernetics” team with a total of eight authors (Max Mulder, Daan Pool, David Abbink, Erwin Boer, Peter Zaal, Frank Drop, Kasper van der El and René van Paassen) and recommended for the award by the Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems.

The Andrew P. Sage Best Transaction Paper award is the most prestigious award for scientific publications handed out by the IEEE SMC society. The winner is selected from all 2018 publications in SMC transaction journals, e.g., Transactions on Human-Machine Systems, Transactions on Cybernetics. The criteria include: originality, technical merit, potential impact to the SMC field, and presentation quality.

The award was received by Max Mulder and David Abbink at the IEEE Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics in Bari, Italy.
